Since the launch of Creed Aventus on September 2010 (as part of the celebrations for Creed’s 250th Anniversary), Creed Aventus was a major hit in the perfume industry. Creed has stated that, unlike the majority of perfume houses, the Creed brand focuses more on the Base notes, rather than the Top. The reason for this, they claim, is that focusing on the base notes means to fully appreciate the fragrance the wearer must take their time in order to fully understand it.

After its great success, some perfume houses started copying Creed Aventus’s fragrance. There are so many Aventus clones available in the market ranging from $15 to $200. Which are no where near the original cost of Creed Aventus that is $425 for 3.3 oz / 100 ml Spray bottle on Creeds official website.

But we are not here to talk about Creed Aventus. In my opinion there are only two possible winners for the alternative of Aventus. Which aren’t only close to the real thing but would save you hundred of dollars.

After testing it on my wrist. The opening of Al Dur Al Maknoon was way more closer to the real deal than Club De Nuit Intense Men but after 15 minutes (dry down) the scent changed and got more similar to Sultan by Al-Rehab + Creed Aventus. I can still smell the Aventus notes but with an arabic tone to it. That was unique for me and surprising as well. The longevity is not great as it only lasted around 5-6 hours after which i couldn’t pick the smell of Aventus as it smells like arabic perfume closer to Sultan by Al Rehab.

So the conclusion of it all; If you are looking for cheaper alternative of CREED AVENTUS with longevity and do not care about the tones but still want to smell great and most importantly, are on budget, buy Al Dur Al Maknoon without thinking twice. you will not regret your purchase.

But if you are not on budget and want a perfect Aventus clone even after dry down, go with CLUB DE NUIT INTENSE MEN.
